| Well, it has been some time since I have been here. Sorry about this oversight (aka laziness). I have been doing some shipping through uship to build up a good reputation on their feedback section so when I take a load of disaster relief stuff somewhere, I can contract to bring back something that will help defray the expenses of the trip. So far, it has been working out pretty well. In fact, in addition to getting good feedback, we were able to pray for one of our clients who having some difficulties in their personal lives. We have been able to plant some seed in other peoples' lives as well. The Lord is GOOD - ALL THE TIME!!! 3John 2 - be blessed. | | |
| Good golly! It sure has been a long time since I last updated. We have been a little bit busy with the church, emergency services, the sheriff's department, Beaver Camp, driving tractor trailer, and - most importantly - Jesus Fed the Hungry. Besides the trip to Gallatin, Tennessee this spring, we have made another trip to Bayou La Batre, Alabama. We took down about 80 cases of books, 550 pairs of shoes, several cases and boxes of food, some furniture, some beds and bedding as well as many boxes and bags of clothing, and several other assorted items. We are currently collecting more stuff and money for another trip down to disaster-ravaged areas. Our greatest need is financial. I asked the Lord to either remove the burden or supply the need and within two days he sent a couple from Kentucky and a girl from Oak Ridge, Tennessee to confirm, renew and strengthen the burden. The girl from Tennessee is really from New Orleans and anxious to go home. She lived near the church in Harvey, Louisiana where we went on our second trip, went to school down the street from, and knew exactly where, Abundant Life Church is. The couple from Kentucky had relatives in Bayou La Batre (If you saw Forest Gump, you may recall that is where he had his shrimping business that got wiped out by a hurricane.) If you have done it unto the least of these, you have done it unto me, Jesus said. Blessings, Pastor Bill | | |
| I have not been very good about updating. We have been quite busy planning our next trip to the disaster areas. We may be headed for Tennessee this time where the tornadoes hit. We thought we had a trailer lined up but it was discovered the tongue was broken so we are hunting for another trailer. We really want to take a truck-trailer combination rather than a tractor-trailer. There are several advantages to that - no worries about log books, Commercial Drivers' Licenses, DOT inspections, limited access highways, not to mention 20 mpg rather than 5 mpg!! Although we can only carry 60-70% with a smaller rig, when getting 4 times the fuel mileage, we can haul three times as much for the same money with less hassle.

| It has been so long, I had almost forgotten how to log on and update. We have been somewhat busy with rehab and work and planning for our next trip to the Gulf Coast with disaster relief items time just seems to slip away. We are planning a trip the first part of April. We have enough to fill a trailer, but still lack about $500-$600 to finance the trip. We continue to seek supporters who will give on a monthly basis, but all gifts are welcome. Visit our website at www.jesusfedthehungry.org for more information and reports. Jesus said: "Give and it will be given unto you." We have been blessed to experience the generosity of folks. It has been six months since Katrina came ashore and there are still areas that look like it was yesterday. Whatever you have to donate, we would be more than glad to make arrangements to pick up (within reason), One trip last year we swung by Rochester and picked up lots of 'stuff' including 75 onion bags with 10 pairs of shoes in each bag. We had also picked up over 1200 stuffed animals to be distributed to children. We estimate that we have delivered about $300,000 worth of goods at a cost of about $6500. That is pretty good economics. Praise the Lord Jesus!

| It has been a while since my last update. And things have been very hectic - a trip to New Orleans with a truck-trailer combination full of disaster relief supplies, a trip to New Orleans with a tractor-trailer full of disaster relief supplies, preparations for a third trip to the Gulf Coast area with a tractor-trailer load of disaster relief supplies - interrupted by a trip to Burlington, Vermont for quadruple by-pass surgery. That slows things down somewhat, and will continue to slow things down for a while. We have a 48' trailer sitting in Ogdensburg waiting for a driver to move it to the Mobile, Alabama area. If you know of a driver, have them contact me. Information can be found on the web site at www.jesusfedthehungry.org. Thanks for all your support and prayers.
